13-DAYS/12NIGHTS -PRIMATES SAFARIS.


Day 1:  Kampala - Lake Mburo National Park. A tour guide from Topi tours will meet you at the airport and depart for Lake Mburo National Park. It is 4-5hrs drive, stop at the Equator for photographs and reach Lake Mburo by lunch time. Take an afternoon boat ride along Lake Mburo in search for water birds such as pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle, and the rare shoebill. Other animals seen include Crocodiles and Hippos among others.  (But this will depend on your flight time) Dinner and overnight in muhingo lodge,Lake Mburo luxury tented lodge/Rwakoob Rocks. 


 Day 2: Lake Mburo – Lake Bunyonyi. After a cup of tea/coffee, go for an early morning game drive in search for animals, and the common ones are Zebra, Impala, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland as herbivores not to leave out the rare leopard, Hyenas and jackals as predictors. Return to the lodge for full breakfast. Have our lunch packed and depart immediately for L. Bunyonyi  with lots of game and scenic viewing en-route. Lake Bunyonyi is known for excellent bird watching and boat rides (Canoeing) to different beautiful Islands that characterize the lake. Dinne and overnight Lake Bunyoni over Land r/ Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort.


Day 3: lake Bunyonyi- Bwindi Forest np . After morning breakfast at your lodge, you may  cherish some relaxing moments on the shores of this peaceful lake. You will choose among the various tour activities. You can choose to go birding, Nature walk, cycling, and sun bathing, swimming or even canoeing.  Set off to Bwindi Forest with scenic viewing en-route. Reach Bwindi in the evening hours, check in, dinner and overnight at Bwindi Lodge/ Buhoma  community Lodge / Ride 4 a Woman Lodge . (ACCOMMODATIONAL WILL BASED ON WHERE YOUR GORLLAS PERMIT WILL BE ALLOCATING TO TRACK)


Day4:  BWINDI NP-Gorilla Tracking. Wake up and prepare for today’s incredible experience. You will have breakfast to transfer to the park headquarters for briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. There after you will penetrate the impenetrable Bwindi forest in search for Gorillas. The time you will take searching these humble apes is unpredictable however it ranges between 2-6 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks, climbing up and down making it tiresome, however the thrill of encountering these giant primates erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. You will stay with them for 1 hour for observation and photographs, later descent to your lodge for late lunch. If the evening is free, you can take a cultural walk in Batwa Communities. Dinner and over night at Buhoma Community  Lodge / Ride 4 a woman Lodge/ Bwindi Lodge.  (HERE ACCOMMODATIONAL WILL BASED ON WHERE YOUR GORLLAS PERMIT WILL BE ALLOCATING TO TRACK)


Day 5:  Bwindi forest np - Queen Elizabeth National Park. Get up early in the morning for breakfast and embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass via the Ishasha sector which is famous for being the haven for tree climbing lions. Enjoy your lunch en-route. Enjoy a game drive as you get into the park. dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge.


Day 6: Game drive & Launch cruise Wake up early for a cup of tea / coffee, go for a game viewing drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. Expect to have excellent opportunities to see Spotted Hyena, leopard, Uganda Kob, Herds of elephants, wart hogs, Lion, Bush babies, and several primates. Return to your lodge for full breakfast; relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch at Mweya Safari lodge, have an afternoon launchcruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, with about 610 bird species. You will see a variety of game on the banks, seen drinking at the water's edge, Buffalo linger in the shallows and a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores including the Great White, Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana and the rare shoebill among others. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge.


Day7:  Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge After a very early breakfast, head to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Expect to see other primate species such as the Red tailed monkeys, Vervet, Black and White colobus monkeys, olive baboons and Giant forest hog, also butterflies and a wide range of Bird species. After the adventurous experience , heda back for Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon Game viawing and a Visit to the Salt Lake in Katwe. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge/ Katara safari Lodge, .


Day 8: QENP-KIBALE NATIONAL PARK. After breakfast at the lodge, you will follow the mystical Rwenzori Ranges and connect to Kibale forest National Park, with lots of game viewing enroute, Dinner and overnight Primate Lodge/ Turaco Tree Tops/ Ndali Lodge.


Day 9: Primates Tracking and Nature walk(KNP). Kibale is a home to 13 primates species and 350 bird species. Have breakfast and assemble to Kanyanchu tourist center for a briefing. Enter the forest to track the chimpanzees and other primates like the colobus, Red tailed Monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive baboons, Bush babies and many more. Have lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a walk to Bigodi Ecotourism sanctuary known for various bird species and rare fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight at primates lodge/Turaco Tree Tops.


Day 10: free day. Day at Primat Lodge/Turaco Tree Tops/Ndali Lodge. Free day. Flexible.Dinner and overnight


Day11: Driver to Semliki Np. Have breakfast and depart by road to Semliki Wildlife Reserve. The drive will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert. Situated in the basin of the western Rift Valley, Semliki is one of the parks with the most diverse habitats in Africa ranging from Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus palm forest and short and high grass savannahs. You will reach the park to have lunch and the visit the sempaya Hot springs then head to the head back to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at primates lodge/ndali lodge/Turaco Tree Tops.


Day12:   Kibale N/park- Murchison Falls. Departure to Murchison Falls after an early breakfast. Head for Murchison Falls, The drive is approximately 8 hours, Visit the top of the falls and Marvel at the robust Nile as it thrusts into a seven-meter gulf  as it explode from  45 meters wide gorge- a wonderful site! View the chains of pours it forms, which can be viewed at diverse points up to the peak.. Dinner and overnight at Dinner and overnight at Sambiya river lodge/Parra safari Lodge/Pakuba safari Lodge.


Day 13:  Game viewing Drives & Launch cruise(MFNP) Early morning wakeup a cup of tea or coffee, go for a game drive to search for the early risers and the predators in the northern circuit of the park. This drive will reward you with game like Hyenas, Giraffe, Lion, Elephant, Harte beest, Uganda Kob, Oribi and a variety of savannah and woodland birds. Return to your lodge for full breakfast and lunch. Later in the afternoon, go for a launch cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. You will see many hippos and crocodiles basking along the shores, buffaloes, and plenty of water birds including the rare shoebill. Dinner and overnight at Sambiya river lodge/Parra safari Lodge/Pakuba safari Lodge.


Day 14:  Departure to Kampala/Entebbe Town You will have early breakfast head to Kampala, along the way, you will visit the Zziwa rhino sanctuary which was set up to reintroduce rhinoceros to Uganda following extinction in 1982.This 70 square kilometer sanctuary in an immaculate bush country is currently home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda.  The long term goal is to build a sustainable rhino population and move rhinos back to their original habitat more so in Uganda’s protected areas.  After Terekking the Rhinoes, have lunch and embark on the road and drive back to Kampala, reach by late afternoon. Dinner and Departure Home.
