This safari will take you to Akagera national park, Akagera lays in the Eastern Rwanda next to the border with Tanzania.


Akagera national park is characterized by low mountains, swamps, woodlands and Savannah. To have an outstanding experience, Akagera is a must visit in Rwanda because of its extra ordinary biodiversity ranges. The park shelters wildlife like zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and bird species like rare shoebill stork. The drive gives you a chance to view a series of different vegetation, natural landscapes, and comprises of a spectacular open expanse of wilderness, wetlands and lakes with stunning views.

Detailed itinerary;


After having your breakfast you will be transferred to Akagera national park to embark on an unforgettable experience. The full game drive is done in Karenge in the North where you drive through sighting the different natural beauty of the park. Upon arrival, tourists are blessed to view the richness of wildlife most importantly the BIG 5. Still on the drive, tourists get a chance to see Wildlife in their natural habitats, see their way of living, mating, catching prey and play around with others. The scenic drive brings you closer to different animal species giving you a chance of photography and recording creating a memorable experience.


During the drive near lakes like Lake Ihema and Lake Shakani tourists get a chance of sighting different bird species like Long crested eagle, open billed stork, Rwenzori Batis and Strange weaver. While on the drive, tourists also get a chance of sighting crocodiles on the shores while birds are laying on them.


After the drive, tourists have their lunch and transferred back to Kigali.
