3 Days Murchison Falls Safari Uganda. Overview: This 3 Days Murchison Falls safari Uganda is a short wildlife Uganda safari to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda’s oldest and largest (3,840km2) safari park in just 3 days.
This tour is available all year round and can be undertaken by all kinds of travellers above the age of 5 years at an affordable price. Murchison Falls National Park is situated in North Western Uganda within Amuru, Lolim district, home to several wildlife species including the big four wild game, about 451 bird species including, the sought after Shoebill Stork, 76 mammal species and much more. Murchison Falls National Park is not only a great Uganda wildlife safari destination but the only place a traveller can see the world’s most powerful falls. The mighty Murchison Falls is formed as the Nile River squeezes through a 7 meter (23ft) gorge falling 45m below to what is referred to as the devil’s Cauldron.
On the first day of your 3 days Murchison Falls tour to Uganda you are transferred to Murchison Falls National Park with an evening game drive. At Murchison Falls National Park, the next day, you will also undertake a morning game drive, an evening boat cruise and a hike to the top of the falls. Chimpanzee trekking at the adjacent Budongo forest (Kaniyo-Pabidi) will be your last Murchison Falls Uganda tour activity before returning to Kampala on the third day of your trip.

Day 1: Pick up by Topi tours safari guide from Kampala for a drive to Murchison Falls National Park. You undertake an evening game drive in the park. Distance 282km, drive time 5-7hours.
Day 2: Have a morning game drive, an afternoon boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls.
Day 3: Undertake chimpanzee trekking at the adjacent Budongo forest and return to Kampala.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: From Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park and undertake an evening game drive. In the morning as early as 6:00am, Topi Tours guide will pick you up from your place of residence in Kampala. On your tour guides’ arrival, you meet and greet then embark on the almost 282km drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch is taken en route to the park. In the evening most probably on arrival an evening or sunset game drive is undertaken Enroute to your accommodation facility. At this time there chances of sighting several wildlife species including the giraffes, elephants, lions and many more as the predators try to catch their last meal of the day and the prey try’s to survive. Arriving at your hotel in the evening, you check in, have dinner and an overnight stay. Day 2: Undertake a morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls. By sunrise, Topi Tours guide will pick you up for a transfer to the park for a morning game drive. With beautiful sights of the morning sunrise, you head out for the game drive with your safari guide lasting about 2-4hours. During the game drive, you have chances of seeing wildlife species like Buffaloes, Elephants, Lions, Leopards and the Rothschild Giraffes (the highest population in the world). After the game drive, you have a lunch break and then transfer to the boat cruise start point for a great 2 hours cruise on the Nile waters. The boat cruise takes cruises past numerous hippopotami down to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls. From the bottom of the falls, the hike to the top of the mighty falls starts taking about 1 hour and giving the best chances for beautiful pictures of the falls. Arriving on the top of the thunderous falls, you meet the driver guide for a transfer to your lodging facility. Day 3: Transfer to the adjacent Budongo forest for chimpanzee trekking and return to Kampala. On the third day of this 3 days Murchison Falls tour, our driver guide will transfer you to the adjacent Budongo forest (Kaniyo-Pabidi) which is about 47km away. Budongo forest is a good habitat to quite a big number of habituated chimpanzees, actually the second best place for Uganda chimpanzee trekking safaris. At Budongo forest, you undertake chimpanzee trekking and then after embark on the drive back to Kampala. Lunch is taken en route. Drive Time: 6-7hours Meal Plan: Lunch.
